Warlock vs Force Master in Blade & Soul

Almost all the FM spells are instant. So you can always hit and run. FM is more flexible and has many ways to resist damage, so you know, hard to Buy Blade And Soul Gold. I always get the aggro if I take care of the skill sequence.

Warlock has some spells with long cast time so you cant move when you use them. And you only have Z and SS to resist damage I guess? But the DPS should be nice according to my investigation from Chinese bns BBS.

All their skills look gorgeous. Currently I am enjoying playing Fm and I will try Warlock as well to see if I can handle the cast time.

Class “versatility” is a vague notion and I can’t answer that question for you. Every class is “versatile” depending on how you play.

Also, while I find questions about “which one is more fun” to be rather stupid, I’ll answer this one with my personal experience anyways: I found FM to be boring while I was leveling it. As a matter of fact, it was an immensely boring character to level for me — even more so than my summoner. It only became interesting to me once I hit 45.

Fun is subjective. I can say WL is more fun and cooler looking, but players who main FM might say otherwise so just try both and see which is more fun.

DPS-wise, current meta in KR has FM at the higher position. But you will definitely want a WL in your party with Spiritualisation Blade And Soul Items. In foreign servers, some high-leveled players are even willing to carry a low-level WL as long as they get the Spiritualisation buff.

Fun can become objective if you place description and reasons for it being fun. both can be fun absolutely but the reason behind it being fun is what im after.maybe my fault for not delivering questions more specific.

Mushin Tower 8th Fl in Blade & Soul

Just copy and paste my post from main forum plus some note

Dark buff and ice stance is a mechanic if player fail to lower his HP by xx% within 30 second he will use dark buff follow by ice stance 10 sec later

this mechanic reset after he’s used fire AOE

after dark buff if player can lower his hp down to xx% within 10 second he will skip ice stance.

Here is how mechanic work (for 100% hp to 80% hp after this is the same)

100 to 85 within 30sec

Fail = 10sec later dark buff and ice stance (some time he will use ice stance right away)

Success = skip ice stance

100 to 80 within 40 sec

Fail = dark buff

Success = skip dark buff

Fire AOE at 80% hp

mechanic reset after Fire AOE

Fire AOE at 80 60 40

when he’s enter his mechanic with a lot of Blade & Soul Gold moving he will immune to any damage and CC for a few second be careful if you use any CC or root skill that has long duration he will stand still in that place with immune to any damage until all that CC off (so do not use any CC when he has 81% 61% 41% hp).

Blade & Soul: Game Crashing, Need Help

I know there are tons of threads out there on BnS game crashing and believe me, I have read possibly every single one of them in these passed couple of weeks. Nothing I try is working and I just really want to play!! If anyone could shed any insight on the issue, I would be in your eternal gratitude.

Here’s a list of what I have tried:

- The Razer and Chroma fixes
- MSCONFIG fixes (Disabling all 3rd party services)
- Deleting and re-downloading Bin (GameGuard) folder
- Repairing files via client
- Disabling anti-virus/firewalls
- Bypassing router
- Opening all ports required for BnS
- Uninstall/reinstall launcher and game
- Uninstall/reinstall Windows

The game will allow me to log in and select a character. It only crashes after about 5-10 minutes of gameplay. It doesn’t crash to Blade & Soul Power leveling, it just freezes up and needs to be closed via Task Manager. My game started crashing on Feb 12th. Up until then, it had been running with absolutely no issues, even all through beta. I have multiple open tickets with NCSOFT Support and have tried a mind-numbing amount of things to resolve this issue with no such luck.

Thanks for taking the time to read this! If you have any suggestion as to what to try next, please let me know! I appreciate it so much!!

Open World PvP of Blade & Soul

In all open world PvP areas, players can kill enemy NPC or complete some objectives to gain pvp points. You have to walk/run back to base to turn it in. The more points you hoard up before you turn in, the better reward you will get. However, if you are killed by opposing player before you turn with BNS Gold, they will take ALL of your points. The reward for racking up a lot of point at once is quite lucrative. This will be the biggest incentive for players kill each other during open world PvP.

Soul stone and Moon stone are mostly acquired in open world PvP where you compete with the opposite faction for resources. These stones are used in crafting and upgrading gear, so they are very valuable (and sell well). You cannot turn off PvP while doing these quests or your progress is reset to 0, so when you start doing the quest, you need to commit until you’re done. (as with most objective-based PvP, people will trade wins and avoid unnecessary fighting unless one side has a number advantage to bully the other)

In some versions of the game, there is also large-scale PvP contests, where participating players go into a mega instance and compete in a much more heated battle. However, many big guilds in servers end up monopolizing these and just trading wins with each other.

Blade & Soul Questions

Not at the start while the level cap is 45, but if you go missing once we start catching up to the Asian versions then yes, you will be left behind. Simply because the lvl 50 + content starts being more strict with minimum requirements and likely the player base even stricter as they can be difficult. You can still play and still progress doing ‘old’ content as people will be coming and going all the time. But the gap between you and the ones who have kept playing all the way through can get quite large.

There is no telling about the community. The game isn’t even out in NA yet.
Max level 45, likely have 5 HM levels above that. At 50 cap, there are 20 HM levels. Getting to 45/50 will be a breeze. HM levels is where it slows down a lot.

Yes, there is a gear treadmill. With each content update, more levels to your weapons and accessories are Blade And Soul Gold. However, you keep evolving the weapon/accessories you have, so it isn’t a gear treadmill in the case of ‘new update, old gear is worthless.’

i am also a very casual player and play guild wars 2, and i’m loving what i’ve played so far in b&s. it’s a very gorgeous game, and you can enjoy the environment a lot, much like with gw2.

comparing the two, however, i personally prefer movement and combat in b&s because its really fast paced and dynamic, which is something that somewhat bothers me in gw2, especially when it comes to gw2 having no mouse-locked camera, if you know what i mean.

b&s also seems to have prettier fashion, in my personal opinion at least, the costumes are something this game really shines in.

so, yeah, i think that you might like b&s if you enjoy gw2! they both give off a very.. not sure how to put it, but to me personally, they both feel very homey, if you know what i mean? they are comforting games, the ambient does the job right. look at them casual player words lmao

BSH and Pohwaran Dungeons

we’re not gonna have those for release i believe (feel sad now, BM?), because in order to get those skills you absolutely need the BSH and Pohwaran dungeons and the associated achievements, unless they change it to blue dungeons, and i dont think they will want to water down their endgame to that extend. Its supposed to be a long process, takes weeks or even months to complete the achievement for those skills. Also most of the hongmon skills are actually not unlocked until 50, aside from the grasses eating achievement (you have to eat 7 or 8 types of rare herbs) and the boss kill achievement (10 of each of 3 different bosses, we dont know which bosses yet), so you’re not gonna see them at 45 most likely.

Also, i’ve never seen a game publisher that actively maintain a wiki page for their game, even the KR versions dont, all the info you found are all fan sites. Wikis afaik are all fan-made, and there just isnt a big enough community of english speaking players up until now to warrant making an english one, so flaming NCsoft for not having more information is just…. I dont think they expect you to know other languages or even play other versions, more like they expect you to actually learn about it in game, like every other MMOs and games that i know of. This is the same for new player playing the games.

If you read all the level up survey questions, they actively ask questions aimed for new players, as if they assume that you dont know a thing about the game. And i think that’s how it’s supposed to be for Blade And Soul Gold. Just because this is an old game in other versions, i think we’re very spoiled in thinking that there’s always an answer instantly because of the army of veteran players. Try to imagine the completely new release of games, like when Wildstar got released, nobody knew what the fuck they were doing, so no one even bother asking stupid questions, yet somehow people still kept playing. Apply that mentality here and just appreciate that there’s somewhere you can go for answer instead of being completely lost.

The only game that actively feed its players vital information is WoW afaik, and they only started recently because they wanted big community sites to stop data mining their servers (they basically made an agreement that they will feed those sites info in exchange that they dont spoil their announcements iirc).

Blade And Soul – PvP and PvE Rewards and Ideas

Hey Guys let me know what you think about some of these ideas and if you have an idea just comment! Make sure to tell others it so NCSOFT looks at in and considers all of out ideas!

PVP:
So I really hope that they put in awesome PvP rewards to make PvP worth playing more often. They should put at least 3 reward costumes and weapon skins to choose from once you reach Silver, Blade & Soul Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. They all should increase in quality so people like us can look cool and show off our PvP skills. Also I understand that they are going to eventually put in 6v6 for NA but I really want them to put in larger battlegrounds like 10v10 too, and also give an option to queue into rated battlegrounds, which also should give rewards based on rating. Last but not least I really enjoy the fact they you can join a arena lobby with a chat but I really wish you could look at skills or the wardrobe while your in it.

PVE:
I don’t have a ton if Ideas about PvE but I really hope that they add enough content to keep people busy and able to continue to enjoy the game. By content I mean more dungeons being released more often. Blade-Soul has a big advantage over other MMO’s because when they release in NA they have 4 years of experience, dungeons, and many more ideas. Because of this they are capable of giving out new content more often. Also, I really want to see more rewards for dungeon achievements. Any Ideas on what those should be let’s hear it! Oh and we need Hongmoon Levels on release or close to it! Please!

Looking for players willing to trade 1,000 faction kills

I and some friends, are looking for players willing to trade 1,000 faction kills for the Double Agent title. We are part of a Cerulean guild, but will be starting the game as Crimson so that we can avoid the waiting period if we started as Cerulean, switched to Crimson, and then tried to switch back to Cerulean. Also, we believe it is best to do this particular achievement ASAP because it will reset your faction rank upon switching factions.

This will be at an agreed upon time after we reach 45, though others are free to join at any level they wish to get more Blade & Soul Items. So far there are 3 of us and we’ll open this up to 9 other people. The benefit of doing it in a party of 6 is that each kill will be credited to everyone in the party.

Server: Mushin

Slot 1-A: Crimson
Slot 2-A: Crimson
Slot 3-A: Crimson
Slot 4-A: Crimson
Slot 5-A: Crimson
Slot 6-A: Crimson

Slot 1-B: Cerulean
Slot 2-B: Cerulean
Slot 3-B: Cerulean
Slot 4-B: Cerulean
Slot 5-B: Open
Slot 6-B: Open

It will take some time, but it is possible. The more people there are, the faster it will be completed.

The reason I am doing this is because I value achievement completion. However, there is a massive downside to this particular achievement in that, whenever you switch factions you lose all progression in your faction rank and you will have to leave your guild. Not only that, but you will have to wait 7 days before you can switch back to a faction you have left. That’s 7 days you can’t be in your actual guild.

The purpose of starting on the opposite faction is that I can do my 1,000 kills and then switch to my preferred faction without having truly lost anything important. I can do the kills, switch to my preferred faction immediately and start helping out my guild.

The benefit of trading them in a party is that you can resurrect the people much faster after you down them. This will speed up the entire process greatly.

In addition to the Double Agent achievement, every person in the group, after completing both sets, will have 2,000/10,000 player kills. This will not only allow them to purchase the veil that hides your name/guild at the misteye woods faction vendor after 1,000 faction kills, but will also give them 250 pierce from completing 1,000 kills.

There are also achievements for dying 1,000 times, rezzing people 1,000 times, and helping someone meditate 1,000 times, and then you may need Blade & Soul Power leveling. This will get you pretty far along in those achievements as well.

As far as making things “stupid and dull” I disagree. I just want to get this particular achievement out of the way so that I don’t have to suffer the negative effects of changing factions later.

Blade & Soul on the Russian Servers

I’ve played Blade and Soul on the Russian servers for a while and had a complete blast, even though it was mostly by myself. I love how different everyone’s characters were and the combat is so much fun. Being able to combo and things like that really make it so that you feel like you’re playing a fighting game and I love that! I think being on NA servers would be a lot more fun because there would be more people to talk to, play, and learn the game with.

I have been following this MMO for years and finally, finally when they release NA want to play! The combat and the world is so beautiful! Breaking the Holy Trinity up is also something rare that only GW2 has managed with cheap Blade And Soul Gold, so this is super interesting, too! It’s a bit unlike anything in recent times, at least out here in the West.
I’m not very solid financially and so buying a founder’s pack to play is a bit tricky. A code would go a long way in helping me decide if this is something I want to break a piggy bank for!

Never really played any mmos I was always drawn to them but I could never could play one that actually look like it could stick. ive been playing league of legends for the past 2 years and It is kind of dying for me. There isnt many other games I want to play besides BnS because it looks like one of the best mmos ive ever seen. Really wanna play it if I dont win this giveaway I just have to hope they let me in on the 29th.

I recently met up with an old mmo friend that I haven’t seen in years, and he invited me to play blade and soul with him. I’ve been browsing this subreddit the last few days to determine if I should really spend money on a founder pack (college student, not ridiculously broke but I have peace of mind knowing I still have enough money for rent, books, food, Blade & Soul Gold etc). The game itself definitely seems awesome and I’m looking forward to playing regardless if I get beta or not, so if someone else needs it more then just ignore this.

However, with the hype of this long awaited game, I couldn’t help but be obsessed with this game for the past few weeks. I’ve watched streams and guides on blade and soul every day. I’ve already decided which class I’m picking after seeing so many cool game plays of it; Assassin.
